The dash light for my indicators doesn't work whilst indicating.
I i switch on the hazards it'll light up once but then goes off and fails to come on.
I've checked the mot history and the car failed the mot for this 3 years ago- sadly no paperwork to say what they did to fix it.

Any ideas?

Thanks for that.....so stupid question but once your dash light stops working do the rest of your indicator or hazard lights depending on what you have switched keep working??.....And re-reading your question.....are you saying that your dash light doesn't work at all in indicator mode and only gives 1 flash whilst in hazard mode?? If that's the case then I'd be looking at the relay....It sounds like it's getting stuck. Time for a new one me thinks!

yeah, sorry the lights etc all work fine, as does the clicking noise.

Think a quick stop to GSF before the MOT then. Cheers for the help

Doesn't your relay just plug in to a socket above your fuses??

Here's a bug wiring diagram for a 69-71 bug...

And the relay isn't the right one! And the guy at GSF doesn't stock a 4 pin one- despite it being listed in the catalogue!!

Now the bug failed its MOT and i have 10 days to find a relay- easier said than done. I've tried europarts, GSF, VW heritage, volksspares etc etc- either they have no clue what im on about, dont stock one anymore or dont have it listed!
It shows as an Indicator Relay,12v, 8/68-7/70 4 terminals part number posibly 211-953-215/C

Does anyone have a spare for sale or one to borrow for a short time ;) ;)
