The next Horsham VW meeting is on the 3rd of April at 3p.m.

This is just a friendly get together of like minded VW fans. Owning a VW is NOT a requirement. You may own one, be thinking of buying one or just like them.

Andy and I hold this event on a Saturday afternoon to make it as accessible for people and their family's as we can.

This can be a good chance to get help or advice about your vehicle too as we get a good variety of people and vehicles along.

Come along, have a chat, look around the cars, have a beer/cider/wine/G&T or soft drink and perhaps get something to eat too.

This will be the 6th meeting at this location and if the trend continues then this meeting should be bigger and better than the others (which have been really good!) And it'll just about be spring too.

Would be great to see the people that have come along to the previous meetings and get some new faces along too.

The location for this event is:
The Hornbrook Inn
Brighton Road
Horsham,
RH13 6QA

Any questions / suggestions welcome.

Hope to see you there.

I am also possibly arranging a campsite to go to after the meeting if there's enough interest. This will be at the Limeburners Arms campsite in Billingshurst if it does go ahead. This is a nice small campsite with basic (but clean) facility's. This is part of the Limeburners pub which I have been told serves good food and I know serves good beer. I believe pitches are £12.50 each. If you are interested please p.m me asap and I will phone up the campsite and get more details from them. It is about a 20 minute drive from the Hornbrook Inn.

Well, I was going to winge about 'couldn't we camp somewhere closer to the Hornbrook?'

But I've googled it. Slight lack of choice out there, so I'm up for it in Billingshurst. Is faking a breakdown and calling the towtruck home just to save petrol actually illegal, or just a bit naughty?

Don't be sorry.......I'm guessing kingsfold's only open to svwoc members or would other vw clubs be permitted too?? There were around 7 club80-90's that went camping and it sounds as though there may be a few more that might pop out of the woodwork as the camping word has been mentioned......Just a thought..... :)

Hi all,

Quick reminder for this weekends meet at Horsham.

Cheers

Nick

p.s. No camping has been arranged for this month due to the recent bad weather and forecast.
There is a strong possibility of a Horsham VW meet only camping site for mays meet.
This will be in the field of another local pub if it does go ahead. I will be seeing how many people are interested at this months meeting on Saturday and then have a chat with the owner about fees and food etc.

Hi folks...look forward to seeing you all this afternoon. The sun is shining and the fair weather golfer that lives across the way has just loaded his car up with his clubs so that's a good sign! 8-) See you at 3........

Another great turnout today. Especially for the Easter weekend! Thanks to all that came along and made it a great afternoon. Lot's of nice busses, beetles and a nice yellow fastback... I'll let the pictures do the talking. Oh and I managed to take a few with people in this month. I did notice that it's funny how the moment I got my camera out people started to scatter to get out of the way. It was great to see so many children this month..... The weather held off and we spent the afternoon in the garden... The first of many I hope.

Oh and if you've made it down this far you'll be interested to hear that as of next month's meet we have secured a 10% discount (terms and conditions apply) next door at Camping World. I'll be sorting out the fine details during this month and I think we'll have some sort of card system. This discount will only be valid for the first Saturday of the month at the Horsham meet....So don't go along trying to claim your 10% until you come along on May 1st...I'll put more details up when I have them...
